Q: |
Can
I get an Email Acknowledgement? |
A: |
Yes, and it can
contain as much info as needed. Each acknowledgement can also
be tailored to meet the needs of multiple recipients. |
|
|
Q: |
What
will my design look like. |
A: |
We
work hard at matching your web application to the look of
your site. If you don't have a site, we can design that as
well. |
|
|
Q: |
Can you do??? |
A: |
Anything may be
possible, but unless you ask we can't say.. |
|
|
Q: |
Why would I want
an inline proof system over a PDF system. |
A: |
Inline proofing
eliminates the need for Adobe Acrobat on your computer to
generate the proof. The inline proof is also almost instantaneous
when it is generated vs. the PDF that depends on Acrobats
load time on your machine. |

Q: |
Can I select my
own text colors and fonts? |
A: |
The initial design
of the print product template will determine the color and
fonts of the text. For example, suppose a post card has been
designed to alert customers of an automobile dealer to monthly
service specials. The front side of the card may have a variable
image depicting tires, batteries, a service station, etc.
The backside of the card could be divided in two halves. The
left side could be text describing the monthly service specials,
and the right side may display name and address information.
At the time the post card is designed, it could be determined
that the monthly service special would be printed in Helvetica
font, 12 point, and colored red. The user ordering the card
will simply enter the text describing this month’s special. |

Q: |
When ordering a
direct mail piece that includes a name and address file to
be uploaded, how should the data be formatted? |
A: |
The most common
input file for name and address information is a Microsoft
Excel file with headers. Each column of the Excel file should
be labeled (e.g. First Name, Last Name, Street Address, City,
State, Zip Code). A comma delimited file is also acceptable,
where each part of a name and address file is separated by
commas. |
|
|
Q: |
If the centralized
image library does not contain an image needed for the latest
print product, can I upload a new image? |
A: |
Yes, but the uploaded
image cannot be previewed as an inline or PDF proof. However,
the uploaded image will print on the final product. |
|
|
Q: |
What file types
are accepted for uploaded images? |
A: |
Acceptable files
types include Photoshop, JPG, PNG, Postscript, etc... most
any file type that is used in printing today. |
|
|
Q: |
How much is my
postage on a direct mail piece? |
A: |
Postage costs cannot
be determined until the name and address data is processed
by the CASS certification software. At that time, a USPS 3602
report is generated and emailed to the distributor. All postage
must be prepaid, check made to US Postmaster, before mail
can be taken to the post office. |
|
|
Q: |
How can I control
printing costs? |
A: |
One way to control
costs is to design a print product so that all 4-color printing
is done up front with a commercial press, and then to have
variable data information printed in black ink only by a digital
press. |
